Guide to the Administration of Sponsor Projects
Curriculum Policies

Program description: The curriculum consists of 12 sessions.   When all sessions are taken in order, they provide an overview of grants and contracts administration, designed to parallel the workflow of a proposal and award.  Topics are presented in moderate detail, with information about additional in-depth resources.  While attendees are encouraged to register for and attend the entire curriculum, the sessions are designed to stand alone so that staff can attend a single class that is relevant to their responsibilities.

Fee -   $35.00 per session, per person for individual sessions

$350.00 for one individual who registers for all 12 sessions

Completion Certificates – In order to earn a Completion Certificate, registrants must attend each of the 12 sessions.  To earn a Completion Certificate, registrants may not send a substitute nor is it sufficient to simply receive the handouts.   A sign-in sheet documents attendance.  All sessions must be attended within two years.  The Completion Certificate, presented at an end-of-curriculum-year reception, is signed by the campus president, and is designed for framing.

Missed sessions – Registrants who do not attend a session will forfeit the fee unless they arrange to attend a make-up session the following curriculum year.  Individuals may attend up to 3 make-up sessions.  Additional make-up sessions will require re-registration and payment of the session fee.  Contact Janet Simons regarding make-up sessions.

Substitutes – A registrant may send a substitute to a session but attendance by the substitute will not count toward a completion certification.  Attendance by a substitute means that the original registrant may not make up the session in a future year.
