Robert McCarthy, Ph.D, JD - Manager of Intellectual Property  
Dr. McCarthy has for oversight of all patent related matters.  He joined the group in September 2007. He is experienced in all matters related to intellectual property including patent prosecution, patent licensing and drafting of various technology transfer agreements. His experience spans the academic, industrial and government sectors. He holds a PhD in microbiology from the University of Illinois, a JD from Chicago Kent College of Law and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the Virginia bar. He holds membership in AIPLA, the American Bar Association, and LES.
