NIH has updated more than 500 active Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs) with Adobe-based application packages and closed their PureEdge predecessors. (http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-09-026.html) You will continue to use Coeus to prepare and route your application and it will be submitted system-to-system through Coeus in most cases. Be sure to link the Coeus application to the FOA early in the process, and contact your ORD Grants & Contracts Team if you have difficultly linking.
If you have a subcontractor and are preparing an NIH detailed budget, you will need to download the Adobe Forms version of the Subcontract budget and upload that into the Coeus application. Use only Adobe Reader to open and complete these forms. Grants.gov currently recommends Adobe Reader versions 8.1.3 or higher; compatible versions are listed on the Grants.gov site and are updated as they are produced. |
