| In order to expedite the routing procedure within the School of Medicine (SOM), the signature of the Dean will not be required for certain documentd (see listing below). However, most of these documents will still require routing to ORD. - Award letters for multi-year awards (e.g., American Heart Association, National Science Foundation) which require a progress report and not a signed continuation application.
- Letters of Intent (unless sponsor request approval of the Dean of the SOM).
- All Interagency Personnel Agreements (IPAs), regardless of agency, and Joint Personnel Agreements (JPAs) with the Baltimore Reserach and Educaion Foundation (BREF).
- Modifications to Clinical Trial Agreements involving minor changes such as Sponsor contact information and/or start-end dates.
Routing form required: Under the expedited routing procedure, School of Medicine Principal Investigators need to complete and sign routing form and obtain the signature of the Division Chief or Center Director (when applicable) and the Department Chair. The routing form and IPA, JPA, Clinical Trial Agreement modification, or progress report may then be delivered directly to ORD. See guidelines for additional information about IPAs and JPAs.
